The Ultra has it but, its throttle by wire. My sporty is cable throttle. The crankcase breather system is fed into the intake. You probably saw a bit of smoke from that. Check your oil level when the engine is up to temp. You may be having a sumping issue if your loosing oil.

This is more word of mouth from multiple technicians than official advise. Their argument against it is that the engine will eventually wear out quicker because of the uneven detonation of the engine when shutting down a cylinder. Just what I've heard, not sure if that's accurate but it was enough for me to shut it off.
